Hello everyone,

I'm Katka, I study psychology and love to travel and explore the world as much as I love to dance at home when nobody's watching.
After years of using CS in a shared profile with my friend Kristýna, I finally decided to create my own (that's why I seem to be new here although I'm not :)).
My ultimate life goal is to travel as many places as possible and meet as many nice people in the whole world as I can. Couchsurfing is the best place for that: filled with many open-minded and open-hearted people who share a piece of their life with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For traveling and meeting people. I've had so many nice experience with Couchsurfing since my first CS trip (summer 2014), and I'm curious what more I'll experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like going to the film festival in Karlovy Vary (kviff.com). It was here where I firstly watched Just Life which is became my very favorite movie (I recommend).
I also like The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, Harry Potter, Logan: Wolverine, The Man with the Golden Arm, Trainspotting.

Regarding the music, my top choice is Tata Bojs, a Czech band. But I like the Cinematic Orchestra, Johnny Cash, Dub Fx, andThe National, too.

Finally my favorite book writer: Milan Kundera. A past-Czech who emigrated during the Soviet occupation and "lately" writes only in French and doesn't really allow his books to be translated particularly to Czech :o

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Freestyle traveling in Indonesia. The people on Jawa island were so friendly, so kind and so nice. I've never been on so many pictures with children :D
Also going to a quite non-touristy island Karimunjawa on the north of Jawa was an adventure: being the only tourists in the bus there and one of the few on the island, which itself is a paradise...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do a crisis intervention over the phone (although my English may not be enough for that, but I'd do my best).
And also how to keep calm when you're probably at a wrong airport in Italy :)
