I am a Chemical Engineering Postgrad from South Africa. I grew up in the northern province of South Africa now named Limpopo until when I finished my secondary education and left for Gauteng province to pursue my university studies. I have always wanted to travel (at least around SA), but I had a picture that it was very expensive(not necessarily true).
I discovered other ways of travelling and they weren't really expensive compared to the mental picture I had. Somewhere during my PostGrad studies, I had an opportunity to travel to Zaragoza-Spain and it just opened my eyes to how great the travelling experience can be.

I am very open minded and adventures, so if you want to try something new activity there's a high possibility (90% chance) I will be game.

I currently cannot host but would like to make friends and meet travellers around the globe and make the travelling experience fantastic.

Travelling is about experiencing the lifestyle of the people living in the country of visit and that is often put away by luxurious hotel stays. I want to have the real day to day experience of the people living in the country/area I'm visiting and I feel like Couchsurfing is the right platform to do so.

I have recently travelled to Mozambique with a colleague with minimal budget and explored the lifestyle of the villagers there. Took a public (taxi) called 'shappa''. pushed my limits a bit and removed all the comforts of travelling in a first class transport, luxurious accommodation and food.
