Right now I'm a master student and actively involved in politics (Volt). I also started playing drums 2 years ago and organise concerts in my hometown (Sofar Sounds).

Staying in a hotel is always a pretty anonymous experience. Having the opportunity to live with locals and share their lives for some time is a great way to understand, what it is like to live in another country, learn about different perspectives and just makes any trip so much better.
Also I usually travel by myself, that's another reason why I really like meeting people.

I also really enjoy game nights (cards/board) with a few people, good music and some herbal support ;) or camping and a nice bonfire with someone who plays guitar or talking all night long about anything that comes to mind
