About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To re-set my sanity by giving myself the freedom to travel for the next year.

ABOUT ME

I'm a social worker originally from NYC who decided to take a year off of work to travel around the world to places I haven't been to before. I lived in Taiwan for 7 years from 2000-2006 and have already been to many parts of Asia. So far on this trip I have been to China, Nepal, India, Kuwait, Egypt and Jordan. Next leg of the trip will be to Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only started using CouchSurfing and the two people i have stayed with have been absolutely wonderful hosts. The first was a man who was absolutely kind and respectful in every way. The second was a couple who were generous with their time and friendship. If couch surfing is always this good I can't imagine why more people don't do it!

Interests

Walking, taking photos, diving, exploring, trying new things, good food (this does not mean expensive), chilling with good people, dancing, trying/seeing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll read just about anything when I'm traveling and am open to all kinds of music (though, not a big fan of gangsta rap, county or heavy metal. These days I prefer foreign films to Hollywood as they tend to have better plot lines, though it's easy for me to turn my brain off watching the latest blockbuster.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping off a 220m dam in the south of Switzerland. I'm afraid of heights so this was my way of getting over that fear. It was crazy, scary, exhilarating and completely nuts. Loved every second.

Recently, watching the full moon rise from behind Everest while at the top of Kalapatar Mountain. Stunning.
