I'm a Finnish woman currently working and living in Szczecin, Poland. I love traveling and wish to visit as many countries and cities as possible. My other hobbies include reading, gym, learning languages, and collecting dolls. I love meeting people from different countries and cultures and hope to meet interesting individuals through couchsurfing. I'm a vegetarian and love trying out new vegetarian and vegan recipes. I've been in Szczecin for almost two months now, so I'm still pretty new here. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first joined Couchsurfing when I did an internship in Brattleboro, Vermont. I figured it would be a great way to meet people while I'm in the USA. However, I just recently started using the website more actively. Last winter me and my sister hosted a couple of people in Finland but then I came to Poland which put an end to my hosting experiences. At least for now that is.

Anyway, I plan to do some traveling in Poland (and hopefully other countries) this year, and I think using Couchsurfing will be a great way to meet fellow travelers as well as people who visit Szczecin.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch a variety of movies but my favorites these days are often indie movies that focus on timely topics such the lives and rights of ethnic and sexual minorities. Don't get me wrong, I do love many Hollywood movies too! I read almost anything but my favorite genres at the moment are young adult fantasy/dystopia, memoirs and, everything that centers around mental health or childhood trauma.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky enough to travel a lot. I've been an au pair in California, an exchange student in Hong Kong, an intern in Vermont, and now a working "adult" in Poland. I think those are pretty amazing achievements.

I'm always happy to teach and learn new languages. I'm a vegetarian and love to share recipes or cook together with hosts or guests.
