About Me
There are no strangers in here, just friends you haven't met yet (Roald Dahl)🧞♀️😊🙋🏽♀️
Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart . But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind (Anthony Bourdain) 🧠💚👥
Through Couchsurfing I have met wonderful local people and fellow travellers. I think home is a feeling, not a location. I love how you can be thousands of miles away, in a new destination, nothing familiar and feel more at home than the place you left behind. The journey so far would not have been possible or as rich without the kindness of the friends I have met. I am eternally grateful and try to pay it forward as much as I can until a time I can host also 👣👭🏡
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Someone once said to me, fear makes strangers out of people who should be friends. This stuck with me. I think it perfectly explains the world now and how people live within the confines of fear and fight against each other, rather than help and support. I believe we humans are inherently good and Couchsurfing proves this to me with every new person I meet. I have friends all over the world who opened their heart and home to me, as would I for them, and for this I am extremely grateful.
To meet the dynamic, wonderful people of the world, learn about them, share experiences and make new memories together
To share my home with fellow travelers and have an authentic experience when I visit other countries. My mum hosts travelers and students learning English, she has hosted over 100 people in our home and counting!
