Hi! I am Katrien, 22 years old and from Amsterdam. I love to explore the world with my husband and to meet new people. I'm quite a spontaneous traveller and don't like to make fixed plans. I love literature, movies and theatre but as I can get enough of that at home I particularly love to live the outdoors while I'm on holiday.
In Amsterdam I live in a wonderful community of young people who are all doing great sustainability projects/research in our city. We also organise many great festivals together on a donation basis.

I once went to the Sinai desert with my father where we spent the nights under the stars. One night I was looking at my father and suddenly his face was completely enlightened. It was the middle of the night but everything was in broaddaylight. The next day we learned that a meteorite had hit the earth just a couple of kilometres away.
