Newlywed, we are currently cycling throughout Europe for our honeymoon. We will be crossing 33 countries in about 1,5 year.

We are in our late twenties, are always up for a good chat over some drinks and are eager to get to know different people and cultures worldwide.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

More than for budgetary reasons, we want to meet local and 'real' people on our trip. Hotels, hostels and even some campsites and b&b's usually tend to avoid authenticity and give tourists a replica of what they have at home: television, wifi for a dozen mobile devices, english (or dutch - the horror) menus and internationally approved dishes such as pizza and french fries.

We on the other hand are looking for memorable chats over a glass of local wine/beer/anything else, great stories to share and new companions who we might one day host ourselves.

The best memories are those shared with new friends over some hearty laughs!
