About Me
Hi there! I‘ve been offline for a while, life has been busy, but right now I have some capacities again to host again in March. 🥰.
Hard facts:
- I live in a small studio appartement which means I only have one small room to share, in which I‘m sleeping too. I‘m sleeping on a loft bed, under which I have a futon.
Because of my living situation I’m usually not hosting more than one person and not longer than 1-2 nights.
- My flat is just a shared small room and I can‘t offer much privacy. I’ve also had quite some bad experiences with male couchsurfers, I therefore prefer female, non-binary, genderqueer,… travelers.
I don’t use couchsurfing as a dating app, so please, just, no.
My household is LGBTQI+ friendly. Here‘s no place for antisemitism, or islamophobia - To my muslim friends - just be aware that I have a dog! (she might not always be with me though) 🐶
- Currently I’m keeping doors open for people from the Ukraine, Iran, Israel,... So please, if you’re in Vienna and really need a last-minute shelter, feel free to contact me. I wanna help. :)
So, now, more about me:
😄😄
______________________________________
Hi!
I'm Kathy, I'm 30, living in Vienna and currently finishing my masters in Theatrestudies at the University of Vienna. Besides my studies I‘m working fulltime at a local opera house. I love meeting new people, learning about other cultures and listening to your stories. :)
Hobbies of mine are music, drawing, spending time with my dog, watching movies, spending time in nature or at the theatre and meeting friends.
I love Vienna and I'm always happy to assist people enjoying the city! If I my schedule allows me to, I would love to show you around the city. I’m living here since 2013 and I know nearly all of the cool places. If I‘m busy and not able to join you, you can still call me anytime and just ask me for directions and infos. I'll be glad to help you out! =) Unfortunately it really depends on my work-week.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people and learning from other cultures is one of the greatest things in life! I like to discover new cities and landscapes without having to be in the tourist centres or in an impersonal hotel. Some people like luxury, I prefer having a place to stay with "personality", having an adventure and especially talking to all kinds of people... In todays society everybody's centered around themselves and I think that's a petty, so what's better than living with someone in another country for two or three days? I hope to find some new friends around here and make wonderful expieriences! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like 60’s, 70’s, 80's 90's, also film music, like Hans Zimmer, a little bit of Green Day and Flogging Molly, Heilung, acoustic guitar stuff, piano music, jazz, classical music, musical theatre and so on 😄.
My favourite movies are Princess Mononoke, 7 years in Tibet, V for Vendetta
and Swiss Army Man.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming under a waterfall.
Interrailing and hitchhiking through southern Europe for 1,5 months straight.
Petted a cat. Not only once, but actually quite often. So. Fluffy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German or English and how to draw faces. We can play some music, share stories, talk about life and cook together. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My water, kitchen, time, my stories, my friendship, my couch, my guitar, my oven... :)
