What do I want from Life?

ABOUT ME

I am trying to squeeze my studies, parenthood and everything else into one day which sadly only has got 24 hours and no more. My travels have shifted from Backpacking from A to Z without knowing the inbetween stops to a cozy family vacation preferably with pushchair access. But I love how things change and how now I get to explore another aspect of travelling. And who knows? Maybe the dust will come off the backpack in a few years...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At first, I thought it would be a great opportunity to dig into a country's culture since you can only understand it when you're actually talking to people. But now I think that it's just a great thing to do, you're meeting people you might have never met and learn about their conventions, their way of thinking. It's great to exchange experiences and talk about one's trips and adventures. It's always nice to leave a place after a couchsurfing adventure with a new travel-idea growing inside your head!

Interests

I absolutely like to travel and visit new places. I love speaking foreign languages and learning them although I have to face the reality that my ability to learn languages is not as good as it was 10 years ago. I run from time to time and I'm a fan of literature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter and Jane Austen would be my favourite literature (and then 3rd place would come Cheryl Strayed with Wild)
Movies: probably Pride and Prejudice as well but there are just so many good ones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's that moment when you're in a place that deeply impresses you ( I think for every person this place looks different; it may be a beautiful building or a breathtaking landscape) and you just turn around on that spot and look. And it's as if nothing else matters cause you're just feeling so alive and all the problems you might have been carrying around aren't important at all. It only counts that you're here, right now and that you feel as happy as a person can be...
I experienced it every morning, when I was climbing up the snowy hill to the hotel where I worked (and truly, it was not the best job), and I would turn around and watch the sun rise above the valley, with the Rocky Mountains surrounding it.
That's what travelling and experiencing means to me...
