About Me
Aloha!
I´m a passionate surfer and Yoga teacher from Austria, a country known for it´s beautiful mountains and especially in winter for snow sports, but unfortunately without an ocean. That´s why I followed my heart to where the surf is and decided to leave my life at home behind for a while, going on a journey around the world.
Since summer 2016 this led me already to Portugal, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, California and Hawaii where I´ve been traveling, living and working, always on the search for the best waves. During that time I was blessed to get to know amazing people, saw very special places I won´t ever forget anymore, the beauty of nature made me speechless many times and I learned a lot about life.
Describing myself I would say that I´m a very enthusiastic, open minded, uncomplicated person with a big heart and always up for spontaneous adventures, but I´m also very determined, good in making plans, reliable and like things generally organized. Being outside in the nature makes me happy, I love animals, horse riding, surfing, the ocean, sunshine, warm weather and Yoga. Still learning to skateboard and trying to live and eat as healthy and environmentally conscious as possible. Can´t stand arrogant behaviour and intolerance as well as unfairness and I hate the cold, but snow is okay. I really enjoy meeting new inspiring people, exchanging life experiences and positive energy, maybe even surf or practise Yoga together.
I didn´t really use the couchsurfing platform that much by now, because it always happened somehow that someone knew someone who had a free bed/sofa/tent/car/hammock/... whatever for me, but as I like to get in touch with new interesting people I´m working on improving this! 😊
It would be great to find some cool hosts here and I´m already looking forward to meet maybe YOU?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I don´t like to follow the beaten paths and I think it´s boring to only explore the touristy side of a country and culture.
I love to meet local people, learn from them and find out about the “real life” at the places I visit. For me it´s always an enrichment to share experiences, knowledge and viewpoints and I´m more than happy to share my stories too.
As I currently don´t have a constant home while traveling, I unfortunately can´t offer any couch to other surfers, but I´ll let you know as soon as this changes again!
