Overview
About Me
I am currently completing a post-graduate diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services, previous to this I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education. Overall, I'm a pretty easy going, open-minded person. I love hanging out with friends whether we go out to a bar or a nice restaurant, or simply going for a walk around the park or hiking!
In new places I'm visiting/ travelling to, I usually like to go check out any aquariums/ zoos, parks and see if there are any free events or recreational activities going on (biking, yoga, good places to walk around.) Also like to check out some good local restaurants and always love to know what the night life is like or where to go for a good pub experience!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to travel more as I complete school and looking to do so on a budget! Also love meeting the hosts as they can show me around or tell me what activities or events I should check out around the area! Way more realistic and helpful than tourist websites!
Interests
My interests are pretty vast but range from going to music festivals, to hiking to everything and anything to do with water!
My biggest interest revolves around swimming! I currently work as a swim instructor/ lifeguard, a Masters swim Coach (competitive swimming for ages 18+) and I'm really interested in getting involved with international volunteer lifeguarding. I used to be a Varsity swimmer for Wilfrid Laurier University and still enjoy using swimming to train and workout.
As for music festivals in the summer I've got to go to a few pretty cool ones, a high light being Coachella Music & Arts Festival in April 2016. Some others include: Wayhome 2015, Osheaga 2016, Electric Island (Toronto), and then a bunch of regular concerts over the years! I really enjoy being able to sit back on the grass with some friends in the sun and just enjoy the music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
August 2015, went backpacking around British Columbia and Alberta, Canada on my own! Went Toronto-Vancouver-Whistler-Vancouver-Calgary-Edmonton-Jasper-Banff-Calgary-Toronto!
It was a whirlwind to say the least and I got to do some amazing things like: road trip from Vancouver to Calgary, see the Northern Lights (unbelievable!), hike up Sulphur Mountain in Banff, and zipline through Whistler-Blackcomb Mountains! Also met the most amazing people on that adventure through car ride shares, hostels and Couchsurfing!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to travel to be able to learn more about myself (the usual), but also to learn about different people all over the world. I love learning about new cultures (and eating all the new food!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Easy-going personality, able to be up for anything or just be given some helpful times and wander off on my own. Also great at listening and holding a conversation over a good meal or out for a drink!
