ABOUT ME

I am an English teacher at a community college, a job that is awesome and gives me a lot of time off for traveling. My boyfriend and I are living in an apartment in Laurelhurst, an area of Seattle near UW. We both grew up north of Seattle, and are enjoying the chance to explore the city. Three years ago we traveled through Europe for three months, two summers ago we explored Hawaii and South Korea, and last summer we played around Alaska. This year we hope to explore more around Washington state and the Pacific Northwest, and we hope to get back abroad soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We used Couchsurfing during our trip through Eastern Europe when plans fell through, and were constantly amazed by the wonderful people we met. We haven't been living in places where we can host to return the kindness we were given, but we just moved into a place where this is now a possibility.

Interests

I lived in Armenia for two years in the Peace Corps; Will lived in Korea for a year teaching English. We love traveling, biking, beer, and combining those three whenever possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We live near UW, with lots of things to do near us and lots of access to bike paths and buses to get around the city. We love doing things outside and exploring; if you're interested in these things and we don't have to work, we'd love to take you around and play.

Will is an amazing cook and (more importantly) loves cooking for others. I'm good at washing dishes.
