About Me
I always find it very hard to fill out "about me" sections. How do you know what to say about yourself in one paragraph? and what are the right things, the important things, which convey who I am? I don't know..but I feel like thats a cop out response. So here's this:
I am a happy-go-lucky kind of person hopes everyone's day can be made a little brighter with a happy smile from a stranger on the street. I love to get to know the world through the people I meet and the places I go. Though I grew up in California, I often travelled to visit my dads side of the family in germany and also got to explore other parts of europe. These early experiences traveling have fostered my love to hitting the open road and seeing what life has in store in other exciting places!
I just finished university a few weeks ago and dont know whats next yet. I will be traveling around europe for the next few months and hope to get a clearer idea of what field I want to go into
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've never hosted or been hosted so up until now I have no experience with Couchsurfing but I love the idea of supporting people through an international network. One of the coolest things about our times is that we have the capabilities of connecting as strangers through the internet as a way of supporting and hosting each other.
Interests
I love traveling, nature, friends, making music, social activism and social justice, being a student and learning things, gardening and working in nature, cooking, making art, seeing art museums, etc...all these feel like pretty cliche things to say.. and I don't like that. I guess I just hope it goes to show that I have a many interests.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of music from the 1960s- the folk, the rock and the pop. I also like a lot of contemporary indie and alternative stuff. I love jazz, sometimes classical music, some rock, some blues, some old time or bluegrass music and a lot of world music from all over the place.
I like foreign films- particularly french or british ones and indie comedies (like little miss sunshine or juno) as well as woody allen and wes anderson films.
I dont read as much as i would like but enjoy books that expand my understanding of the world-I would say my favorite book is probably Daniel Quinn's Ishmael.
