ABOUT ME

I grew up in Southern California and have lived in the state my whole life. I attended university in San Luis Obispo at Cal Poly and earned a degree in Marine Biology. Others would describe me as calm and kindhearted with a hint of unexpected sarcasm. While attending university my roommate and I (Erica Barrios) hosted couch surfers and enjoyed learning about the culture and adventures of each traveler we hosted. Now the tables have turned and we are both traveling around Europe. I am eager to explore the world and meet more couch surfers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommate (Erica Barrios - you can see her profile here https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1004030605/profile )and I host couchsurfers at our apartment. We have surfed a couple times, but we hope to be surfing more in the future. I apologize for my low response rate, I have not been keeping updated with couchsurfing lately, but I plan to more involved now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Erica and I surfed together a couple times over the summer of 2014, however while school is in session we are typically just hosting. I really enjoy hosting surfers and I have met some really great people. It is easy to become disconnected when you are focused on your studies and only surrounded by people of your own age and culture, so couchsurfers provide a break from that lifestyle.

Interests

I am easily fascinated by nature and science, however during a biology lecture I will most likely be doodling on my paper instead of taking notes. I like to play piano, draw, and go trail running. I am happiest when I am outdoors, around animals, or in the company of some genuinely good people. I enjoy listening to people's stories and discovering what others have to offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to be a professional doodler, how to play piano, do some mediocre gymnastics. I am always open to learn something new.
