ABOUT ME

I'm currently teaching English in Moldova, Eastern Europe. I work hard and play hard. I'm friendly, outgoing, willing to go that extra mile to try something new, and have a "punny" sense of humor. In college, I studied English and Sociology and have minors in Education and Peacemaking with a mix of creative writing and psychology background and a huge passion for environmental studies. I'm short with glasses and colorful clothes. Four twenty friendly.

To surf and help with other surfers.

Interests

In my free time, I spend time with friends, make jokes, listen to music, play my own jams (clarinet, piano, sing, and pick at the guitar leftie style), make art, journal, write poetry, and work on environmental issues and studies/sustainability. I used to work at a coffee shop, so I love tea and coffee. I also like working with kids and teaching people of any age.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading all sorts of genres: educational, science fiction, historical fiction, young adult fiction, and nonfiction. I recently finished the Dune series by Frank Herbert. Currently reading: Wicked.

Book favorites: On the Road by Kerouac, Sacred and the Profane by Eliade, The Body of Christopher Creed, 1984 by Orwell, To Kill a Mockingbird by H. Lee, So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by M. Twain.

Top three poets: Whitman, Wordsworth, Frost.

Favorite movies: The Butterfly Effect, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Aladdin, and Titanic.

Favorite celebrity: Pocahontas.
