About Me
// we are currently renovating our flat, so we are not able to host people. When we're done however, there will be more space for surfers! //
Hello!
I live in Vanløse, in a small apartment with my girlfriend Louise, my daughter Nova, and our cat Olivia. The apartment is conveniently placed very close to the metro/subway, so it's extremely easy to get into town.
As a host I am uncomplicated and relaxed, and expect that you have your own plans, as both Louise and I are usually occupied with a million hobbies, work or studies. I'm an IT consultant (quality assurance and testing) and Louise studies Law at the University in Copenhagen. I will thus not be able to entertain you every day of your stay, but if I have the time, I'd love to cook for you, talk about your culture or just show you how everyday stuff is going on in Denmark. The least I can do is to help you with finding the right trains, buses and tourist-attractions, and I might even be able to show you around sometimes. We do not own a car, and you honestly don't need one in Copenhagen to get around.
I enjoy couchsurfers, history, interesting beers, science!, cheese, chocolate, herb plants, a bit of autonomy and alternative cultures, as well as doing as much as possible at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The bottom-line of it is, that I've tried myself to be stranded in the middle of nowhere, insecure and desperate for someone to take me in the hand and say: "Now this is what you can do, and what you shouldn't do here".
My time is limited, but I can open up my home to strangers and hopefully give them a sense of how Denmark and Copenhagen are working.
I've hosted several couchsurfers, and tried couchsurfing two times. It has been lovely, and I really enjoy the experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of folk music, especially irish traditionals and american gothic, as well as anything with an electronic edge to it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Feeding, riding and bathing (almost got crushed under) an elephant in Nepal. Absolutely wonderful. Not the crushing-part though. But it was fun afterwards.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an avid medieval reenactor (the Scandinavian and German period around 1450-1490 especially) and obsessed with historical costumery. The historical influences on art, clothing and literature is a never ending treasure trove to me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A positive mindset, a strong love and interest for exploring local food and beer, a deep understanding of the Scandinavian world, and I might be able to fix your computer as well ;)
Countries I’ve Visited
