About Me
PLEASE IGNORE MY RESPONSE RATE, I registered in 2013, but actually I'm just starting to really use this site, so I wasn't online in the last three years.
I'm sorry for not accepting guests, but I don't have an own flat anymore, because I'm going to travel around most time of the next year.
Hey there, here is Katrin, a young student from Germany, who wants to see the world :) After many shorter backpacking journeys through Europe, I'm finally planning my first real adventure: I'm going to travel through South America for four month - from january until may 2017.
I really love to meet people from everywhere and learn something about their culture and general way of living. Moreover my budget for traveling is quite small, so Workaway and Couchsurfing are just perfect for me.
I broke my last study degree, because I finally realized, that I´m too idealistic to work in big finance or media companies. That is the reason why I decided to study environmental engineering. I need a job, which I can practice with passion. But before starting that, I´m going to escape the rat race for one year to travel as much as possible. And to learn as much possible, that university could never teach me.
I live vegan ( or more correct: I eat vegan and I'm trying to veganise my lifestyle.) I don´t care, if you eat meat. And I don't need to discuss it in any way. If you tolerate me, I tolerate you - it's that simple.
However I love to discuss philosophical questions in any way, but you can´t do that with everyone ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love music and books and don´t care so much about movies.
Mostly I´m listening to Rock and Metal music, at the moment especially to Melodic Death Metal (really have to go to Finland, best music there!) . Slipknot is one of my favourite bands of all time.
To tell you something about my reading habits is more difficult. I have a special liking for George Orwell, Hermann Hesse and Stephen King. That says actually everything about my colorful mix ;) Most of the time I´m reading older stuff.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good question.
I can help you, if you want to improve your English or German. (But my English, especially the grammar, isn't perfect too.)
I really love cooking - best thing, when you can watch the happy faces, while they are enjoying your foor ;) So if you survive it to eat something vegan, I'd like to cook for you as a thanks for your hospitality.
