ABOUT ME

Katherine - I now live in Jakarta, Indonesia. I have been here for 5 and half years. Previously I lived in Hiroshima, Japan. I come from England originally and love brought me to Japan! I am a history/English teacher.

We have a 4 year old daughter which is the reason why we don't really host anymore. We haven't hosted since we lived in Japan, so 2010 and before was the last time we hosted - and the reason is having a kid.

I keep busy; TV watching is kept to a minimum and so is clothes shopping!
I like road/trail running, swimming and biking, although that is hard to do in Jakarta.
Most of my free time is training for races or doing races.
I also like a good book and drinking with friends, wine, beer, whatever...

Yoshi - I am from Japan, and after living in other countries for almost 6 years, I am now back in my home country. I like watching football, dancing, playing the guitar etc.
I work for Mazda at after-sales marketing for South East Asia.

At the moment Yoshi is not in Jakarta, just Katherine, alone...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think the idea of couch surfing is great; meeting people, understanding others, help to make the world a better place, through communication etc etc...

Interests

Trail runs, road runs, triathlons

Spending time outside on sunny days, hanging out by the ocean, meeting friends for a good chat over a bottle of wine/beer etc.

Laughing with friends and family.
