Hey Hello this is Katy from Hong Kong. I have been a backpacker for several years. After staying for 2 years in England, now I'm moving back to my HOME KONG.

I consider myself an outgoing and energetic (after getting enough sleep) person. I have almost no limits for fun. I'm curious and eager to learn everything. I like to talk with different people, getting to know them - their characters, backgrounds, cultures.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I was told by my friend this is an excellent way to be exposed to the local cultures of the country - by making friends with the locals! And I did have much fabulous couchsurfing experience during my travels.

Interessen

Traveling - have been traveling alone for few years.

Religions - I love to learn about different religions. I went to Iran to meet Shia Muslims, went to Israel to know more about Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Druze.

Cultures - I believe every culture is special to the world and no one should be superior than the others. That's why I spend a lot time traveling and talk to different people, so as to know their cultures. I actually prefer interacting with people than nature.

Football - I'm a super big fan of FC Barcelona (Catalan culture!) Força Barça! I have been to Camp Nou twice to support my club.

Reading - books are my life essentials.

Books - I prefer fictions but always willing to read every good book in the world.
Hakuri Murakami is my favourite writer. I love George Orwell and Albert Camus as well. Never Let Me Go is one of my favourite books.

Movies - Romance, thriller, horror.
Wong Kar-Wai is my favourite director (He is from Hong Kong!). Happy Together is my favourite movie.
I also love movies directed by David Fincher and Christopher Nolan. Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale are my favourite actors.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Before Sunrise, 500 Days of Summer, Blue Valentine, The Notebook, Trainspotting, Memento, Prestige are some of my favourites.

Dramas - True Detective, Westworld, Fringe, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, Rick & Morty and more.

Music - Classical Western. My favourites are Träumerei & The Nutcracker Suite.

Theatres, musicals, plays... that's why I moved to London.

I eager to learn about different religions, languages, cultures and histories all over the world from every host and surfer I meet.

I love couchsurfing and respect couchsurfing so much. I just love the way it works. I don't see it as free accommodation and I hope my guests do not either. :)

I'm trilingual so I can teach my mother language (Cantonese), English, and Mandarin. If you wish to know more about my home Hong Kong and Asia, the beautiful continent I'm from, I can always share! And of course, everything happened in those wonderful countries I have been to.

I have received many requests and messages mistaking me as a Chinese. I'm sorry, I am from Hong Kong. Hong Kong is not China.
