Hi, I'm Katy! I live in the beautiful town of Portland, Oregon and I run my own photography business shooting primarily weddings and portraits. I love art, food, meeting new people, traveling, taking pictures (of course), reading, hiking, going on adventures, and having fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing so I don't have any experience, but I frequently travel around the U.S. and the world when I photograph people for my job and often stay with people I just met, which is pretty similar!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! But I've traveled alone to New Zealand and also to Cambodia and Thailand, France, Corsica, Germany, the UK, Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico and Canada.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew to Montana to photograph a wedding for a client and got stuck there an extra day due to flight issues. I was staying with a family I had just met, and the day after the wedding a bunch of complete strangers invited me to come hang out by the river in Missoula and enjoy the leftover keg from the night before. I said yes and ended up having the time of my life swimming in a beautiful freezing river and meeting a ton of great people. Moments like that are why I love my job and why I love to travel. Beautiful places, amazing people, incredible experiences.
