ABOUT ME

I'm a very enthusiastic person who is easily entertained. I love learning new things and I absolutely adore meeting interesting people who can teach me things or change my mind. I'm quite opinionated but it's wonderful when someone can present me with a different view and change my opinion on something.

I study French and Russian and will be moving to St Petersburg for a year in September. I really love learning other languages so if you can teach me any of your language then that would be wonderful. I recently went to China and studied mandarin for 3 weeks so now I think I'm fluent, but otherwise my french is pretty good and my Russian and Spanish are somewhat questionable.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently not a great deal but I'd love to get to know a network of people so I can be more involved in the future. I'm currently living in Russia so it's kind of difficult to have people come as I can't register their visas for them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have never experienced it myself but I know loads of people who have had wonderful experiences. I've stayed on people's sofas after meeting them in other countries so that kind of counts.

Centres d'intérêt

I have all sorts of interests but above all I love to travel (obviously). I love meeting new people and hearing the wonderful stories that they have to tell. I play the piano, guitar and ukulele all pretty terribly, but I am quite a good singer and love gathering people together and making music.

If anyone knows how to salsa dance then we should be friends - I'm not spectacularly good but what I love about salsa is that you don't have to be; a good sense of rhythm and the basic steps is all you need. Otherwise I love all other forms of dance and have been figure skating since I was a kid.
I'm always open to new experiences if anyone has any exciting suggestions :)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Pretty much any classic Hollywood musical, really bad Latin music and epic love stories. I like to read a lot of Russian literature since I'm studying Russian and one day hope to read it in its original language. I'm always reading something and I tend to prefer the classics but I'm open to suggestion.

Seeing Lenin in Moscow was an all together bizarre and surreal experience.
Hiking into the Croatian wilderness barefoot with a crazy man I just met was pretty cool.
