Hello all you CS's!

I am absolutely in love with travelling around the world and seem to never settle. My parents travelled with us as a Family throughout my entire life since I was a Baby and I just got hooked. The differences in cultures and customs from one Country to another are amazing and I love learning more.

My boyfriend and I are currently living abroad, in Freiburg, Germany and are taking in as much European experience as possible before we move back to Canada in a couple years. We both work during the week full time, as a civil engineer myself and my boyfriend as a physicist so we can only travel or host in small spurts on the Weekends around Europe!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard from CS from many friends who have had fantastic experiences all over the world using this System and it is time for me to try it out myself. I'm all up for Meeting locals and seeing the Cities and Sites from a local native perspective. The locals always know what's best and I'm always interested to see the secret charms and hidden gems of a City that other fellow tourists aren't Aware of.

Interests

I absolutely love the outdoors - hiking, Camping, overnight trekking, canoe tripping, Biking, Walking

I also love sports - Soccer and Yoga are my favourites, but I am always interested in learning the local sports, to Play and watch!

Folk Music Festivals from around the world that help me learn new Music which has expanded my iPod playlist to be one of the best playlists I've ever heard, So please, share new Music with me!

I enjoy most Music, but Folk and Country are the best!

Some favourite artists include: Milky Chance, Roo Panes, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Passenger, The National, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and many many more!

I'm not a big movie watcher and if I do enjoy a movie here and there, I'd have to say I have embarrassing taste... Although if I had to narrow it down to my favourite movie of all time, it'd have to be 'The Intouchables'.

Favourite book series are Harry Potter, Hunger Games and a few others, but I'm currently into reading Thrillers such as Gone Girl or Girl on the Train.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing experience of my life was spending the day with an Elephant in Laos, South East Asia. It was magnificant and life changing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yoga is my new found love and it has helped me figure out who I am. Those silent hours I spend in the Yoga Studio have been where I have enjoy pure happiness with no distractions. I also enjoy the effects it has had on my Body with rehab after battling with a year Long knee injury. I recommend this new art for everyone!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my experiences of the world with all but also hear stories from others to expand my list of places I Need to visit before I die! I will share my German and Canadian heritage as best as possible and provide insights on the current City I live in.
