ABOUT ME

I'm interested in mediation and yoga, making art, playing music. I play guitar, ukulele, steel drum and will be traveling with my new melodica this time!

I've spent the past couple years living in San Francisco participating in the art/ weirdo scene here. I lived in a wonderful co-op with 12 people. I love the feeling of community and meeting new friends of roommates.

I took a year off a couple years ago to travel, doing a road trip around the US and a long backpacking trip in Southeast Asia. More recently I spent 4 months in India and am now doing my first bicycle tour from Seattle to SF.

I love meeting new people and getting beyond the small talk, focusing on what is important to them.

I'm deeply curious and love learning.

I have done software on and off professionally, and have also been a social worker. I'm thinking my likeliest career paths are either becoming a therapist or remaining a traveler with a gig income indefinitely.

PHILOSOPHY

My goal in life is to have as many worth-while experiences as I can. I feel life is short and there won't always be a later, so I like to do things now. I want to learn as much as I can and see as many different sides of life as I have time for.

Relatedly I'm deeply committed to continuous self-improvement, and I feel learning and having a broad range of experiences contributes to that.

I really value helping people, and am particularly interested in being a good listener, whether someone is just telling a story or if they need to get something emotional off their chest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm kid of new to couch surfing but really excited about the idea! I've met up with a couple folks from couchsurfing on my trip to Asia and it was a really great experience.
