About Me
ABOUT ME
I love to try new things and I've pretty much tried every hobby there is. Learning new things grabs my attention. When I get interested in something new, I get a little obsessive, bring home stacks of library books about it, and try to learn all I can. People say I'm friendly and smart, but what do they know?
PHILOSOPHY
Loving people is more important than being smart.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Host, meet new people, and when I travel, to meet new people in exciting places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had my first guests and they were awesome! I'm hooked!
Interests
I shop in thrift stores to find things to sell on Amazon as my way to earn money. So, I guess you could say I'm interested in junk.
Plants: giving them what they need to grow and learning not to kill them. I love working in the greenhouse!
The Picts. And the peat bogs of Scotland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Scotland! Best 3 weeks of my life (so far.)
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to teach people anything I know that they don't know yet. I like to learn just about anything, too. I currently tutor about 20 little kids in math and reading and one dear Korean friend in English. Used to homeschool my kids.
I would really love to learn Scottish Gaelic, Spanish, Czech and other languages.
I can teach someone how to cook, sew, knit, make wine, make jelly, make cheese, make soap, and many other skills if they want to learn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Bring food and wine/beer (sometimes ones I made myself) cook your food or mine, give lessons on the stuff listed above.
Listen to your stories and music, share some of my own (stories, I don't currently play an instrument, but I can sing along when necessary.
