Recently sold everything I owned, packed up what was left in my car, and drove from Washington DC to Denver. I moved sight unseen and I love Colorado already.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS in 2010, after making friends with a couch surfer that I met while traveling in Latvia (who I am still friends with to this day). Since then, I've couch surfed throughout Africa and Europe, and have also hosted a number of couch surfers when I was living in Liberia and Somaliland. I've also taken part in CS events while living in Tunisia, Holland, Washington, DC, and now Denver.

Even when I'm not couch surfing or couch hosting, I always meet so many couch surfers on my travels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo-cycled down the coast of The Gambia with a piece-of-shit rental bicycle.

Walked 70 km across the salt pans of northern Botswana.

Traveled by bush taxi from Monrovia (Liberia) to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) and back.

Hitched a ride on a boat going down the coast of Mozambique, to avoid opposition party attacks on vehicles on the main road south.

Went to a music festival in Mali on the Niger river.

Traveled through the desolate interior of Iceland.
