About Me
CURRENT MISSION
living like Leuk-le-Lievre
ABOUT ME
i'm living between Berlin, Germany & Toubab Dialaw, Senegal...and can usually offer some form of couch or bed in either place, or some camping space (in Senegal)...catch me if you can! :)
i'm a freelance coordinator and editor, though try to spend as much time as possible in some passion projects of mine...like:
Aana Fonio (an organic farm and food thing)
Sahel Calling (a music+human rights+film thing)
Clemency-clef (a music+interreligious peace thing)
was previously consumed by:
Abracadabra Magic Food (a local and sustainable food thing)
Dickes Bee Food Cooperative, Berlin (same!)
i am lovingly swept away by:
Kilinba, music of Sénégambia, Berlin and beyond...
and have been organizing the CS Mondradder Biking Group
- night cycles through Berlin's forests for star-gazing, wald-sniffing, chocolate-consuming activities. ;) keep an eye out for "Mondradder" posts in the main Berlin group...
generally, i am a veganesque, gahu-yeah'ing, animal-loving, music-breathing, book-worming gal with a serious addiction to dark chocolate.
...career escapades have included 20 years of learning from children, and stints in turtle-poop scooping, UN-learning, paper-delivery, apple-stacking and corporate america to boot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i have not hosted since pre-C19 pandemic and am looking forward to getting back into it! :)
i have really missed hosting - and many of those short-term guests who became roommates...
we just moved to a new place in Berlin-Buch (literally across the stress from Brandenburg, so quite woodsy but still easily reachable to the city center). our place is a rather small 1-bedroom but we have a double futon for guests, and a humongous terrace if you want to camp on it. :)
my Senegal set-up is in flux, but i can usually get you a double mattress (or two!) in a sweet room on an organic farm. the place was founded by my friends, who also are CSers and regularly host! you can also camp on the farm, too, of course!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
pretty much ranging from good to great to extraordinary, with the rare spoilt egg.
Interests
in the words of the great TMBG, "I am interested in things."
- animals
- books
- singing
- dancing
- dining
- chocolate
- traveling
- music
- cycling
Music, Movies, and Books
i am unabashedly easily influenced.
tho left to my own devices:
films: documentaries and french suspense (darwin's nightmare & cache is my idea of a good night);
music: african or TMBG or phil;
books: i read whatever i'm handed - though neruda, bowles, s. winchester, exupery, nin and barth often keep me company...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
is there anything crazier than watching a family member from 2 feet away being pushed out of a 10-centimeter hole?
Teach, Learn, Share
jackie of all trades, master of none...
my latest and/or longest indulgences and tidbits that i can possibly teach and definitely share include:
food,
animals (tho definitely not as food),
west african dance, drum and singing
classical trombone
and a host of body healthifying insight...
i'd like to learn how to sing... and step to any new rhythm...
