About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a Registered Nurse and work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in East Flatbush. I also am attending Uni for my Masters in Nurse Midwifery (Think OBGYN sans surgery and especially complicated pregnancies.) I live with my boyfriend, two roommates, and 13 egg laying chickens :)
PHILOSOPHY
Always make the most charitable assumptions possible.
BUT If you ask me "where do you live" instead of just google mapping Crown Heights- I will roll my eyes in exasperation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first year nursing, I took care of an elderly man who was dying-but spent most of my energy actually caring for his son, who was having a very hard time watching his father pass. The next year I switched to Labor Delivery and was the nurse for the same man's daughter- and helped bring his first grandchild into the world. I had to use all of my energy not to lift the baby up Rafiki style and sing "the circle of life." It really was amazing though to share one of the saddest and happiest moments in this man's life.
