ABOUT ME

My life includes yoga, eating healthy, being in nature and having fun. I love my friends and family and enjoy community gatherings. I try to challenge myself with various things, from learning how to surf to playing with fire.
This year I stepped into a big fear by doing a triathalon. I don't run or swim so I took lessons. The event was scary but I tried to approach it with the same focus and ease as with my yoga practice. Needless to say, I finished it calm and rejuvenated (and not last!) It was amazing.
I felt I was getting complacent on this amazing island I live on, Kauai, it is so easy to just stay in paradise so I decided I needed to expand my horizon and open my eyes to what the world is doing. Challenging myself in different areas. I love meeting people and learning about different cultures and am so excited to be a couchsurfer.
I just returned from a trip to Europe and did my first couchsurfing, it was wonderful. thank you to all the amazing couchsurfers and surfees.

PHILOSOPHY

I resonate with the quote from Gandhi "Be the change you want to see in the world". I try to live a good, honest and fun-filled life. I love my life!
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Focus on giving, live abundantly, and think good thoughts.

I have been spreading the word about couchsurfing. I think it is an amazing avenue to meet like minded travellers. What a Brilliant idea!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very positive. Recently moved from Kauai to Portland,
Oregon and loving it!!! Don't have a couch for guests at the moment but am open for hikes, tea, dancing!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I just did a triathalon in Oahu. I don't run or swim so I started training 6 weeks out. I got a coach to help me learn the appropriate strokes and breathing and trained with some other women also doing the race.
It was one of the most amazing things I have done. Especially because I am not a good swimmer and am a little scared of swimming in the open ocean. But I did it and I finished and would love to do another one.

I have been teaching yoga for more than 10 years and would love to share this with anyone interested. I feel that I am a student of life and I learn something daily, either about something or about myself. I would also love to learn a foreign language, my tops are Spanish, French and Japanese. I can also share what I know about the island of Kauai and how to spin fire poi.
