About Me

I taught English in Germany in 2016 and since have returned to beautiful Montana to work for a theater company. As a host, I'd love to connect with other travelers and live vicariously through them while living back home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting and connecting with new people and have found that the best way to explore a new place is to do it with the people who live there. I also love exchanging travel stories.

Interests

My ambition is to be a travel writer or creative non-fiction essayist. I love reading and travel (obviously), as well as sports: basketball, volleyball, and swimming especially. I love to dance and eat and hike. I'm very interested in art and history as well.
I love little dogs and sheep. I'm a bit obsessed with goats.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up obsessed with Harry Potter, which turned me into a major book lover. The Catcher in the Rye and Anna Karenina are other favorites. Finally, I majored in literature. My favorite movie is O Brother Where Art Thou, a close second is The Princess Bride. Batman is my favorite superhero hands down. I love folk and alternative music, though I was raised on 1980s and 90s tunes. I'm a major Mumford&Sons fan, as well as Ray LaMontagne, Kaleo, Hozier, Civil Wars, Ben Howard, and City and Colour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, my most recent travels around Europe have been the most amazing things in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently learning German, so if you are too, we can practice together! I think exchanging customs and food and language are awesome practices and a great way to learn about one another and other cultures.
