ABOUT ME
I just spent almost 1.5 years living in the Dominican Republic. It's been fun but I am excited to be back in the US for awhile. The following is for my spanish friends:
Espanol: Yo creci en una tipo de comuna hippie en Atlanta, Georgia. Funciona como un centro comunitario y un jardin organico. Tenemos pequenos festivales de musica cada ano. Uno de ellos se llama el festival de la paz y el amor. He visitado muchas otras comunas y las granjas organicas del todo el mundo, entre ellos Espana, Hawai y California.
English: I Grew up in a sort of hippy commune in Atlanta, Georgia. It functions as a community center and garden. We have small music festivals every year. One of them is called the "Peace and Love Fest". I have visited lots of other communes and organic farms all over the world, including Spain, Hawaii, and California.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing but great experiences. My first surf was for a whole month in Boulder colorado in a guest bedroom. It was great.

Some interesting things I did in the past few years:
Recently I have been living in Austin, Texas. I worked as a Real Estate Agent. My job was finding students an apartment to rent.
Volunteered on this commune near Santa Rosa: http://crichouse.blogspot.com/2009/02/cric-house-what-are-we.html
Farm work exchange at a community owned retreat center west of Seattle: http://www.goodenough.org/Sahale.htm
I stayed at this farm near Salt Lake City:

Ask me and I'll send you my travelogue of Utah that goes with the photos.
I play guitar and piano pretty well. I'm a fine artist who works in acrylic mostly. I'm into organics/natural health and gardening. Hiking, canoeing and camping. Meditation, Buddhism.

Music, Movies, and Books
Watchmen was pretty damn good, read the comic first.
Currently I am working on "Nostromo", a novel by Joseph Conrad (of Heart of Darkness fame) about life and revolution in south america during the 19th century. Also reading a detailed summary of Buddhist practices, and another Buddhist book by the Dalai Lama. Its about the nature of the universe and the big bang from both a scientific and Buddhist perspective.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A clothing optional hippy village in caves on the beach under 600 foot cliffs. In La Gomera, an island in the Canary chain, off the west coast of Africa. Lived there for about 2 weeks in a room made of beach rock, drumming around the fire at night.
Teach, Learn, Share
Don't be surprised if we're out for beer and I spike my juice with Kava Kava herb powder. Its what the Hawaiians take to get a buzz on. Hence my username "Kavakid". I'm actually starting a business selling it. Don't worry, its just for me and I won't ask you to try it.
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Laos, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States
