About Me
I am a traveler. Apart from travelling to places for short trip, I like shifting my base every 2-3 years and live at a new place. My work gives me enough opportunities to both shift base and travel. I love meeting people, and I make friends very quickly. Over the years I have fortunately made some great friends, got to know about people, heard stories and sagas from people I am not even in touch with anymore. But they remain a part of my journey. Interacting with people and to understand their culture remains an inherent part of my trips. I am more fond of the grassroots and non touristy places, that bring me more peace and satisfaction.
I am new in Vancouver, doing a post doc here at UBC.

Interests
Dance is my passion- Semi Classical to Salsa- my appetite to learn more dance forms remains large.
Cooking, reading, knitting, photography (this one is new- exploring, experimenting and learning), singing and listening to music.
Travel, People, cultures, folklore, nature (crazy about mountains and waterfalls).
Music, Movies, and Books
Too many (need to figure out favourites)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking in Dzokou Valley- the place with no people, no noise, no tourist attracting advertisement, very green, just the sound of river.
Boat ride to Niagra Falls- I agree its a little touristy. But watching that majestic waterfall up close where the water falls on your face. This stays on top of my list of moments.
Roadtrip in Himachal Pradesh to Malana- a week long road trip on bike with a friend, a new city/ village every day, terrains so beautiful and roads at times really scary.
