About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live Life to the Fullest

ABOUT ME

While I was previously living a very happy life in the glorious, gorgeous, magical city of Chicago, my wonderful husband took a job in Wisconsin, so we relocated to the sticks (aka Sheboygan, Wisconsin)! Granted there is great dining, an awesome beach, hiking, etc, so it is definitely worth a trip :)

About me: I really like trying new things, so pretty much anything and everything new is exciting to me - new experiences are vital to life!

I love life but I also tend get stressed and worry too much.

I have my little fun food blog / video podcast @ kumocafe.com that I love doing!

My objective is happiness, learning, and experiencing everything I can. I also adore my friends and family and truly feel I am blessed with the best in the whole world.

I edit TV shows and most recently got back from another 6 month stint in NYC - this time for House Hunters International. But that was in 2012 :O

PHILOSOPHY

Not to live a life of quiet desperation.
[I like to make my desperation of the loud and in-your-face variety ;p]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel!
I traveled 3 months in Europe solo, and stayed with very wonderful people who I will always consider good friends and amazing human beings.

Being hosted in the US for us has been more rare, but none the less rewarding.

I host!
When I can, in Chicago we hosted tons of diff ppl from everywhere and made some amazing friends :) Only been lucky to host a handful of ppl so far in Sheboygan :)

I also show people around (Texas, NYC, Chicago) and host whenever I am able:) I really loved hosting all the truly great ppl we got to meet in Chicago :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really great people but would love to meet more! I love learning about great spots in cities I otherwise never would have spent time, let alone chatting until the early hours of the morning with unexpected new friends.

Interests

Film, Poetry, Broadway shows, Opera, TV, Wine, Food, Travel [obviously!], going for walks, learning - always! and exploring :) Did I mention food?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen? The myriad of people who have touched my life, imparted their wisdom and philosophies, their love and caring - I have been amazed by the goodness in humanity.

Done? Who can measure one's own life? I have done a lot but not nearly enough :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you video editing - Avid predominately, and good old fashioned linear.
I can certainly teach and give feedback on poetry - I rock at this and should be doing it professionally.
I can teach you a little French.
I can impart my sagacious wisdom on how to make a few spicy meals (TexMex and Cajun:) and then some!
