About Me

* Please, read my profile, I care about my guests. Do you care too or are you
just looking for a free ride?

** DO NOT stay with me if you have no interest in people and hanging out.

*** If you want to take things for granted and not communicate about it, face
the consequences and DO NOT blame me.

I hate the above lines, but I learned the hard way it is better to be safe than sorry.

CURRENT MISSION Be helpful (I am volunteering a lot), be happy and stay healthy

ABOUT ME I love life and meeting new people. I am very open and always hope others are as well. When I am tired I can become quiet, but still enjoying the company. I am honest and straight forward.

PHILOSOPHY Better to laugh about what (just) happened, than to fear for what is to come, maybe. Try to be positive, although it can (and will) be tough some times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I host. And in the future I hope to be hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My hosting started in 2011. I was totally new with CS, when I was asked to host for 3 weeks. I didn't think about it, I just accepted. Since, I had more hosties and I am still learning about my own habits. A new broom brushes so much better than an old one.

As a host I don't want to pin you down on time, but on the other hand, only a good waiter likes to wait. So, be a dear and stay in touch.

I don't like rules, but an important thing for me is to be in touch with my guests already before arrival. If it feels like you are only here for a free bed ... please note that I will cancel your stay. A good surfer makes a good host.

I am so involved with hosting that I need clear communication. I might care too much about my guests, but I just need to know that they are okay. Not hearing from you, can make me worry. But not everything has to be addressed, some is just common sense. Come to think of it, CS is not only supplying a bed, bath and bread, for me it is more like living together and then naturally things can happen, which will be addressed and (hopefully) solved. And sure, there is still enough for me to learn from.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch, I listen, I read. My music used to be Hardrock old school, like AC/DC and Ted Nugent. It still is, but the interest broadened. Surprise me with your favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not one, many. From a sunrise to a sunset and everything in between.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my younger (not too good) years I learned to survive in life, but I developed and now I (try to) enjoy life. From putting up a wall to an open emotional human being.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can listen and share stories (about hosting). Anyone can cook, but if I may be your guest, I would love to take you out for dinner.
