About Me

CURRENT MISSION
LEAVE NO FOOTPRINTS BEHIND OR BROKEN HEARTS....i dont want to forget something and well saying byebye is always sad.

You can find me on kayakcobber.com
facebook KAYAKCOBBER
(Instagram as well although somebody copies it for me from FB)
A short intro:
I did my part of Travelling and did live out of my backpack for many years. Then later on I replaced the backpack for a Seakayak......and since a few years I am going around with a Walkingtrailer called ROADTURTLE.
Now I am into longdistance walking as I just want to be on the Road again. To find out if there is another world around the corner.

Some blastfromthepast:

I miss seakayaking a lot. But i should not complain as i still can travel a little bit, or a lot as most people say!!!

I am always wondering....Why are the best statements in life never heard!

PHILOSOPHY

DREAM YOUR DREAMS TODAY!
I can say I make my dreams come true. Although it will takes planning and effort.
Change your Words, Change your World.

Since a while i do THE WORK from Byron Katie...it's very interesting to investigate your thoughts with the FOUR QUESTIONS and TURNAROUNDS: Who you will be without your story?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer a place to stay. It's not bad after a hard day travelling. Well i did sleep in so many different situations, i call it all luxery when you can stay on a couch. Still being in the field somewhere in the 50Star hotel is hard to beat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well it's different from CAMPINGKAYAKING....Both adventurous and you never know where you will sleep.
Or as they say i converted from a KAYAKER into a SURFER. HALLELUJAH!

Interests

I always say there are more stories then people!!! So tell me about your life!

People always tell me Don't travel alone, People who did don't.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

4000 Km+ kayaktrip from Holland to Moldova Republic asking attention for SMILESFORMOLDOVA (2008). http://www.smilesformoldova.eu/engindex.html
Portugal to Holland by foot 3000+ Ks in four months(2016)
I call it the SWEAT and SORE TRIP!

Walking up and down to the North Cape...9000+ Ks in very bad conditions with lots of snow, rain and storms, with months in a row below freezing temps! Anyway i made it in not even eleven months. Always wildcamping and tested by the elements of Nature..(2017)
My slogan was: RestLess-WalkMore!

Here a one hour interview about my motivation to walk in cold and harsh weather for over ten months
https://youtu.be/fW55X3lopaU

BAD ROADS GOOD PEOPLE.. walking 4000 kilometres in Ukraine and Moldova and Romania. 2019

Winter2019 I walked across America but due to covid I stopped and only had 1200 to go. So 3000 was done!

+ Driving 24000 km on my Honda XL in the Philippines
+ Lived five years in the Tropics
Well enough about the bragging haha
