Overview
About Me
I currently work for an outdoor leadership and expedition school as a Field Instructor. I've had the pleasure of leading 30+ day trips in Alaska, Utah, India, the Southwest and Idaho, by canoe, kayak, raft, hiking and climbing. I don't think I'll ever get sick of taking beginners out to camp in beautiful places.
I have also recently spent 3 years working at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School, a part day/part boarding high school in Carbondale, CO, as a Outdoor Program director, kayak coach, dorm parent, ceramics teacher, Spanish assistant...and whatever else comes up during the crazy life that is boarding school.
My strengths:
positive attitude, compassion, patience, curiosity, listens well, organization
My weaknesses:
Dark chocolate, not staying very updated with global events
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am relatively new to couchsurfing, though my good friends are lovely hosts and truly believe couchsurfing can save the world one kind person host and traveler at a time.
I don't currently have a permanent residence, but when I do settle down, I promise to build a quaint little treehouse in my backyard for couchsurfers. Until then, I'll work on my karma points by picking up hitchhikers and being a kind and curteous guest.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I will be kind and respectful of your space! I will enjoy chatting about food, geography, language and cultural differences, and of course, will happily go on outdoor adventures if you're keen. I won't expect you to entertain me, though I would certainly hang out, buy you dinner at your favorite restaurant, or go for a walk somewhere.
Countries I’ve Visited
