ABOUT ME

I'm a 19 year old from Canada-we moved to Canada from Germany when I was 5 years old. I grew up on my parents vegetable farm and helped out with that when I was younger. In recent years working on the farm became my summer job, from seeding through packing and selling the produce at farmers markets. After high school I went straight to university, but didn't really find what I was looking for and decided to travel in New Zealand for up to one year, then continue my education afterwards. So here I am.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to enjoy life. Live in the moment, it's all that exists anyways. Be considerate of others, leave nature the way you found it so others can enjoy it after you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am looking to surf couches, as I am not home to host anyone at the moment. We were wwoof hosts at home for many years though and that was always fun, meeting and hosting people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time trying couch surfing, and I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like and meeting new people!

I love the outdoors, hiking, swimming, meeting new people, horseback riding, recently discovered I really enjoy surfing, though I'm not very good at it yet, art, cooking, baking, especially food art, reading, beaches..

I enjoy most genres of music, and any book if it's well written. There are tons of amazing films out there. It's really hard to name favourites because trees just so much out there and I'm listening, reading, and watching new ones all the time.
I'd say for music I enjoy country, but a lot of alternative music as well, and I'm always happy to hear new beats.
As for books, I love adventure stories, and am working on reading The Lord of the Rings right now because I figure seeing as I'm in New Zealand and having my own adventures, it's kind of fitting. Loving it so far.
I don't have an absolute favourite movie- there's too many good ones!

I did a backpacking trip through school in Canada- 4 days at mt Robson. I'd love to do something like that again, it was absolutely amazing.

I grew up on a vegetable farm, and studied a bit d geography at university, so I'd like to believe I have gathered a bit of knowledge in that area. I love cooking and baking and trying new recipes or just inventing ones; I'm happy to both learn and teach in any way I can.
