ABOUT ME

I am not exactly an outgoing person but I like meeting people, getting to know new places and new stuff. I love travelling which is the best way of relax for me.
I have master´s degree in social and cultural anthropology but I have worked with mentally disabled people in supported living. Now I am a housewife for a while.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I´ve been hosted and all the time it was great. I have also several experiences with hosting which was also nice. I was surprised how totally different impressions come from hosting and from surfing.

We are not able to host now, because we dont have enough space in our flat. But next year we are going to move so I hope we could host again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experience comes mainly from being hosted. I have been hosted in Morroco where we were invited to the Scout meeting and almost sang Czech anthem (I never sing!), in England, in Israel (thanks CS I could see illegal Israeli settlement in Palestina), Brasil (we stayed in the wonderful isle of Paqueta which we had found because of CS), New York, Western Australia, Kenya (wonderful experiences from Nairobi, Lake Victoria and the coast).

Música, películas y libros

movies: depends on my mood, from comedy to psycho drama... (I don´t like horrors because I get scared easily), serials
There are movies which have been so strong for me that I never want to see them again (Edward Scissorhands, Tore Tanzt...)

music: world music, ska, reggae, alternative, rock, folk, country... (namely e.g. Gogol Bordello, Fire Water)

books: In these days I prefer audio books for better falling asleep, in this case I choose crime stories (I love Cormoran Strike but I listen as well Agatha Christie, Jo Nesbo, etc.). But there are many books which have really influenced me - from classic writers (like Dostoievski, E. A. Poe or Daphne Du Maurier) to present Czech author (I don´t like Milan Kundera).

I´ve made my dream come true by visiting Africa (Kenya).

I like learning about places where I travel to by meeting people who live there and by enjoying the atmosphere of the place.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can be your company if you want to see surroundings of Liberec (Jizera Mountains...) or we can have a drink and talk in one of my favourite pubs.
