My core interest in life is sharing the idea that we, as social creatures, are meant to serve and uplift one another. I believe that our core humanity is in communing with one another and nature, and I appreciate meeting like-minded people. I feel most alive when I am able to connect with others on a human-to-human level, with categories and judgments aside. I would love to get to know more worldly and kind people through this experience. I would love to share my resources with you, my fellow traveler ♥️

One of my main goals on this journey is to cook with people in other countries and share my love of nourishing one another and connecting over a shared meal. I've heard this described as Cooksurfing, and I love it! I think there are few things as heartfelt and comforting as the smell of your favorite comfort food. The memories of those who have cooked for you in the past and cared for you are so strong. You can learn a lot of meaningful things from a person when they talk about their culture's food and those who have taught them, cooked and cared for them, and memories they have shared ♥️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The core principles of the Couchsurfing community are very important to me. I believe that we are happier when we care for one another, when we share the burdens of life and share in the many joys. The more love and joy we share with others, the more we have! How beautiful is that, that we grow happier when we make others happy?

As a host, I have had the pleasure of making lifelong friends who share this mindset, and I have had the opportunity to share that mentality and grow our community as we prove to people that trusting and caring for one another is what it's all about!

At this point in my life, I am on a journey of discovery and I am so grateful to have found this community to discover what hospitality looks like in all parts of the world. I have great appreciation and respect for those whose kindness along the way makes this all possible.

As a surfer, I want to see the places I travel through the authentic lens of people who actually live in each place. I don't have much interest in getting a photo with tourist sights, I am much more interested in gaining meaningful experiences and having once-in-a-lifetime conversations with unique people. For me, it's all about expanding my perspective on life and knowing that I have SO MUCH to learn and gain from getting to know all kinds of people.

Everything that I'm into has some aspect of mindfulness attached to it. My mindfulness journey began long before I could label it as such with cooking and painting. I love activities that facilitate deeper connection with myself, the moment, and creativity. I passionately consume personal growth and happiness research in the pursuit of becoming a resource for myself and my fellow man in emotional growth and health.
