About Me
Just a few important mentions before I get to the good stuff :)
I will NOT host a single guy without a reference.
I hate that I have to bring this up, but PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST COUCH SAME DAY. That's just inconsiderate. Ideally, at least give me a week to prepare. It's important to me that I have the time and resources when we spend time together to have the best experience in Indy. Thank you. Also, I will very likely host a lady without a reference, but I will NOT host a single guy without a reference. This is just a safety precaution. Sorry to say this twice, but I am still not getting through to some folks.
Something I've learned (as in CS you always learn as you go) It's difficult to navigate around Indy without a car. I always feel a bit bad for the surfer as our bus system isn't terrible, but it's a bit sketchy. It takes a lot of burden off of me if you have a car, and moving forward, I think it's best to only host those that are driving through (or other forms of transportation, like a bike). I don't mind driving a little bit to get from here to there, but lately I've felt more like an unpaid chauffeur than a host. I don't ever want to have that feeling of being taken advantage of for my kindness and willingness to do anything for my surfers, as I thoroughly enjoy this experience.
thanks for understanding ahead of time. :)
ABOUT ME
I hope someday soon I'll be traveling myself and I am building up my couch karma so I may crash couches around the world as well. I enjoy the personal experience of learning something new from each surfer I host like packing tips, new phrases, a favorite meal, or a good playful banter about cultural differences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After college, I packed a few belongings and drove to New Jersey to live and work for the "Godfather " of paparazzi. It was a Sopranos-esque mansion complete with fake statues and a waterfall, where too much was never enough. I was a darkroom assistant, house cleaner, organizer but I put my foot down when I was asked to clean up rabbit poop. I then moved to Brooklyn to live in a Polish neighborhood and work at an Orthodox Jewish owned electronic company. I was then given an opportunity to work for the legendary National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry and spent one month as an unpaid intern (now illegal). After fumbling through some bad restaurant/bar gigs, I was offered an attractive contract job on long island photographing for an engineering lab servicing Boeing's Dreamliner 787. To learn more, pass me a glass of wine or whisky.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Porch, home cooked food, beers, trails, jazz music, nature or show you around the city, great restaurants, etc. We can stay in for some quiet time or go somewhere and see music or explore. It's up to you and how much cash I have, honestly.
