About Me

I'm a 29-year old change agent and avid tea consumer with a flair for social justice, dog snuggling, and DIY home decor. :) I revel in thinking outside the box, playing DDR, going to local shows, and volunteering my free time to yoga and cleaning local studios. I wander, love adventure and travel, and am excited to meet new folks on here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Initially I began my journey here with a bucket list road trip. Then I opened my home to vagabonds, artists, troubadours, and derelicts while married. Now, since that stage of life has moved on- I’m looking for places to crash while I find one in Santa Fe (move courtesy of a new job)!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything honestly. Lately I've been listening to: Nahko & Medicine for the People, Rising Appalachia, Carla Morrison, Jarina de Marco, Laura Reed, Emilie Autumn....

Books? Of late I've been into "The Omnivore's Dilemma," and "Food Politics," as well as "Americanah".

Movies always nab me at info-tainment. I love documentaries, TED, and anything that I can learn from. As for less serious pursuits, I'll watch just about anything that has a decent plot & solid character development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sold everything I owned to live in my car for a month with my dog, while bringing my friend cross-country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always; we are miracles made from particles, we should share that with courage & grace. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I speak Spanish somewhat fluently (writing and reading are coming up fast); can cook like a beast, know how to clean and maintain a dwelling (especially one that I am a guest of), write, sing, and as a social worker- am trained in the art of an empathetic ear.
