About Me
Hello!
For someone who considers themselves a writer, I'm terrible at these types of things. But let's see what brain gunk I can splatter on this here forum.
Before you see me, you'll probably hear my laugh.
Imagination and whimsy lie at the heart of my being and I love discovering beauty and excitement in the everyday. Nature, reading, writing, creating, music, dancing like a freak, and having fun are what I thrive on. My interests are wide and varied from healthy living to music festivals to literature--anything that inspires. Oh! and I love to sing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What better way to travel than this? When I go places I want to meet the real place and talk with the real people, as well as provide that for other fellow travelers. This place (earth) is about connecting, right? That's what makes my day better.
Music, Movies, and Books
Awww, crap. This may be the worst question ever. I love easily and so the lists for all of these things are very very long.
MUsic: Opiuo, Half Moon Run, Andy Shauf, Thelem, Bonobo, The Decemberists, Emancipator, Fever Ray, Glass Animals, A LOT MORE BUT I THINK THIS IS ENOUGH
MOvies: I DON'T KNOW. Okay, okay, mmm, pretty much everything Miyazaki has ever touched, Tarsem's The Fall, Dr. Horrible, Eternal Sunshine, The Princess Bride, others...
BOoks: I like fiction and CNF. Fantasy is my comfort reading (I've read a LOT of fantasy). I like Neil Gaiman, Murakami, Vonnegut, Jacqueline Carey, Jeff Noon, David Mitchell, ∞etc. I'm currently reading The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Safon
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently made a stained glass window.
I discovered that I like who I am as a person.
I've fallen 15ft off a cliff into a crevasse and walked away.
I've built houses for faeries and collected water for them in honeysuckles.
I figure a bunch of little amazing things equals one BIG one.
