My name is Kayla and I am on a self healing journey. I am bright hearted, outgoing, and curiosity driven. I speak from my heart and give helping hands back to the communities of the world. I am starting in the US but would love to go to different countries too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I am traveling alone to California and I loved my previous experiences with this site. Everyone is very insightful and I believe you can learn so much just by listening to one another. Also so I can have some more experiences in life.

Interests

My interests range from organic vegetable farms to rock climbing. I am an adventurous woman. I love to cook vegetarian, learning about healing herbs, practice yoga and meditation! I have a huge interest in rocks and crystals... My favorite right now is fluorite, which is green and purple mixed. I will show you my collection for sure! I have a passion for photography too, trying for more nature shots but I love portraits too. I will always be up for a new learning experience, and open to teaching too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love instrumental music with trumpets, bass, tambourines, saxophone's, fiddles, violins, you name it I probably will like it. I have a variety of favorite artists such as: Trevor Hall, Nahko Bear and Medicine for the People, Rising Appalachia, SOJA, Third Day, The Dirty Heads, Milky Chance, Dustin Thomas, Pusifer, Tool, The Grateful Dead, Beats Antique, Roots of Creation, Dave Matthews Band, Mumford and Sons, The head and the heart, and I can keep going so ask me when you meet me!!!

I like its always sunny in Philadelphia, and the cosmos. I do enjoy a few good movies; Star Wars, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Star Trek, P.S. I love you, Green Fried Tomatoes, Stand by me, My Girl, and a few more but I can't think of them right now.

I enjoy reading about farming, eating well, the environment, livestock, crystals, travelers blogs, Be here now, the Bible, No Man is an Island, The Celestine Prophecy, Ishmael, The Alchemist, WICCA, 1984, and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I have been in NH to go flying in a high winged plane. The pilot was phenomenal, when we hit wind turbulences I wasn't scared for my life he was calm and was able to show me how the plane works. I learned so much and gained two friends for life.

Fallen in love with myself.

Traveling to California by car alone from Maine. Exploring the USA, meeting unique people, and learning the universal language of love. Would love to learn new farming ways, such as permaculture, biodynamics, hydroponics systems, aquaponic systems, and green house gardening (organic), and learning how herbs can heal! (current mission)

Teach, Learn, Share

My skills are photography, crystals/rocks, yoga, meditation, home remedies and organic vegetarian cooking, healing herbs, listening and creating art. I am always up for more learning. I have an open heart and a patient mind to whatever comes my way.
