Hitchhiked alone in Mangystau region! From Aktau, I went to Sherkala, a giant rock formation that may or may not have been an ancient fort depending on who you ask, and camped there for a few days. Blue skies, grazing camels, crumbling cemeteries, no humans for miles.

Also that incident in the mountains of Dagestan.
