About Me

I'm a 23 year old woman from Portland, Oregon, USA, but a dual citizen of the USA and Switzerland (Thun, Bern). i just moved to Bern, Switzerland and am living with my Godmom so i can’t host currently but will when i have mt own place!!! I love to climb, bike, hike, ski, run, mountaineer, swim, etc - anything outdoors! I enjoy playing piano and listening to live music, including jazz and rock. I just graduated with a bachelors degree in neuroscience and will be applying to medical schools in a year as well as taking the NC in July. I'm passionate about public health, social justice, and the environment. I love adventuring and experiencing new cultures and meeting new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just graduated college in the US and am planning a month long biking trip with a friend starting June 7th, 2019 in Barcelona. We will bike from Barcelona along the coast of France, all the way down to Genoa, Italy. From there, we will go back up to Turin, Italy, then Lyon, France, and finally end in Bern, Switzerland.

We are in need of places to crash on our adventure and would love to stay with/get to know some locals and fellow travelers along the way! We are both clean, quiet, and respectful. We both love to cook, are passionate about the environment and biking, love to read, play board games, being outside, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived a bear encounter while backpacking in Sequoia National Park in the USA, where a baby bear climbed onto my hammock with the mama bear and her two other cubs right next to me! Luckily they weren't too aggressive and I made it out alive! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a total nerd for brains, so if you want to know more about the brain, how different sensory systems work, etc, I'm happy to share some of my knowledge! I also love learning new things and am interested in pretty much every topic out there!

What I Can Share with Hosts

youthful exuberance and energy, a curiosity for the world. I love learning new languages and I really enjoy well-cooked meals filled with lots of love. I love to be a helping hand, so if there is a project you need help on for a couple of hours, I'm wiling to help! (ie. building something, planting, harvesting, cooking, repairing, etc).
