About Me
Hello guys, gals and non-binary pals,
I'm an English teacher in Korea. Which means that I'm in charge of helping 300 miniature semi-adults better learn how to communicate with a foreigner and feel more comfortable speaking English. I love my kids and I've been doing this for 2 years already with another year to come. If you've got questions about teaching or living in Korea, I'm your girl.
I'm a lover of language learning and a homebody by nature. That being said I love exploring and spending time with friends. I'm cool with giving hosts/surfers space or hanging out together. I'm a bit of an introverted extrovert. I like being around people but I'm also cool just being on my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While traveling, I have met really cool people who have opened up their homes to me. I was able to experience new cities through the lens of people who lives it every day. Oftentimes, as a tourist, that is not the easiest thing to do and tourist sites in Korea are always very crowded. Learning about a city's hidden treasures is sometimes way more valuable than the known hot spots. I hope to continue traveling and meeting new people and having new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
These days I'm obsessed with anything Hyukoh sings, Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, and a slew of things by Charlie Puth. Rihanna's whole ANTI album is fiyah.
I've been reading a bunch of Korean (or Korean American) authors recently: Han Gang (The Vegetarian), Krys Lee (How I Became a North Korean, Drifting House), Shin Kyung-sook (Please Look After Mom), Sung J. Woo (Everything Asian), etc...
Kate Chopin's The Awakening is always up there for favorite books though.
As far as movies, I've always been a comic book nerd so I'm enjoying all these Marvel movies. Kinda wish DC would step it's game up though. Wonder Woman did a good job but I'm still kinda hurt over how bad other films were.
