About Me

I have a lot of firm beliefs - loosely held. I am very willing to consider new perspectives if they can be thoughtfully pitched. I don't like labels, so I'm not a vegan, but I try my best to avoid all animal products. Similarly, I try to make ethical decisions as a consumer and avoid single-use items, especially plastic. I went through some rough times last year where I would self-loathe and feel like a hypocrite if I could not 100% commit to these beliefs, and that was not a healthy reaction - so now, I just *try my best* to be whom I want to be and hopefully encourage others to do the same by example :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love solo-traveling, but don't always want to be alone. I was raised as an only-child & was extremely shy until college. I recently found my confidence/voice and now I just want to meet all of you beautiful souls

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mentored 20 climate activists (many 3x my age!) at the Climate Reality Project 3-day training in Pittsburgh, PA back in 2017 - I still cannot believe I was deemed deserving of that role and I absolutely loved every second of being able to inspire these people. I cried when they presented me with a card full of thank you notes on the final day

Teach, Learn, Share

Always learning new skills, everyone has a story to share. I'm extremely interested in food waste, health, speciesism, consumerism, and sustainability / eco-related endeavors.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am pretty OK with a needle and thread if you need any clothes patched up!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, England, Iceland, Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand
