I am from Longmont, Colorado in the U.S. and decided to take a gap year after completing high school . I am currently living as an Au Pair in Madrid, Spain with a family. I am taking a spanish course at the local University of Alcala. This has been my first experience in another country and I am loving every second of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just recently found out about Couchsurfing from a friend a met while traveling, and they said that every time they had a great experience and that knowing someone who's from the city is really helpful. Couchsurfing seems like a great opportunity to meet new people and get a better understanding of life in the country that your visiting.

Interests

Hiking, traveling, running and anything active, exploring, and trying new things. I'm a super outdoorsy person and love seeing beautiful sights. I also really enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences.

Movie: None in particular that stands out, but I do love anything that is comical. They are the best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've witnessed a gang fight when I lived in a somewhat sketchy part of my town, if that counts.

Before traveling to Europe, I had never really thought there were many places I wanted to go and now I see there's so many different countries and cultures I want to explore and new people I want to meet. It's really opened my eyes to the advantages of traveling and how much we can learn from it
