About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world and house as many people I can in their travels!
ABOUT ME
I'm out-going and love to have fun. I'm someone willing to try anything at least once. I laugh a lot and enjoy dancing, singing, playing multiple musical instruments. I'm all about the Earth. I'm a child at heart. So I like hookah, to hula hoop, blow bubbles, fly a kite in the sun. I also love the drive-in and fishing. I want to be a person who doesn't live a life of "what-ifs" but rather "I did"
My current mission is to be "here". Too often I find myself somewhere else instead of in the moment. I think this true for many people. But it's a goal that I am working on. I also have started my journey to cozy minimalism. Less is more. The less things I own, the more experiences I can chase after. Again, a work in progress.
I love to travel and travel as much as possible. I'm interested in seeing places that you can't find on a map. Atlas Obscura is a dream to me although it is also becoming largely recognized. Therefore couchsurfing is the way to go, because you'll never see it all and sometimes you don't see it twice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am willing to house anyone as long as I am not housing someone else. I'm not someone who likes the word "no". I try to say yes, to everything that I possibly can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've grown to love the couch surfing experience. We have hosted and been hosted by people in the US, Australia, Thailand, and Germany. It really is the greatest way to get to know an area, whether you are visiting for 3 days or indefinitely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In March 2018: I became SSI scuba diving certified. This is huge for me as my first experience scuba diving was horrific and I didn't think I would try it again. However, with the support from my husband and an awesome teacher (in Koh Tao, Thailand) I was able to overcome my fear and LOVE LOVE LOVE it now :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a BA in German that I don't use. I went to university but then had no one to communicate with. Fortunately, I took a TESOL course and ended up in Thailand where I taught English to high school students for two years. ( 31 Dec 2015-1 Mar 2018) My husband also did the same. We now are online English teachers, and travel and work. I couldn't be happier <3
Randy was a chef, and LOVES to cook. If we are hosting, that's something you will not be able to experience as we don't have a proper kitchen! However, if hosted, and you have a proper kitchen, you might be in for a real treat!
Our home is your home. It's a motto we have lived by and continue to live by. The moment you step foot in our place, you are family. We have received nothing less than that from our hosts and believe that it's the way that surfing should be.
