ABOUT ME

My name's Kaylee, and I just finished my undergrad in Women's Studies. I'm just traveling right now, trying to see what there is to see before I settle down somewhere! I'm into outdoors fun (camping, hiking, etc.), but am also learning to love and fully experience cities (which was a bit scary at first to be honest since I grew up in a very small town). I love meeting new people, vegetarian cooking, and impromptu dance parties. Super afraid of the zombie apocalypse. Super stoked to smash the patriarchy.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to push myself past my comfort zone, which means not only challenging myself to try new things, but to explore new ideas and ways of looking at the world, especially those that come from the margins and force me to question my preconceptions of how the world operates. And I'm working to love not only my family and friends but strangers and people I may never meet - I'm always amazed by how many fantastic, strong, passionate people there are out there in the world and can't wait to meet more of you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to live in a 20-person co-op that hosted surfers pretty regularly. Though I was never the contact person for them, I had a great experiences meeting all the surfers who came through, and I hope to start hosting as soon as I'm done traveling!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I once hiked up to Delicate Arch in Utah on the night of a (nearly) full moon and watched it rise for hours, until no one was left there except my friend and I. Everything was completely still and shockingly beautiful. Easily one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous experiences of my life. Of course, on the way back down I was convinced we were going to be eaten by mountain lions, but we weren't so it's all okay!

Hm, I'm a pretty good cook and a decent gardener, and would be happy to share what I know (though am always looking to learn more!) Also if you're interested in feminist or Marxist philosophy I have a pretty solid basis in that and always love to talk about it!

Very interested in learning about foraging/wilderness survival skills if you're skilled at that!
